The goal of this project was to enhance this Lockett Ranches home with a variety of landscape elements. An existing concrete slab was overlaid with locally sourced Quartzite flagstone. A natural gas fire feature was constructed of malpais stones and boulders to create an inviting outdoor living space. Native plantings with irrigation and large evergreen trees were placed strategically for privacy. Native perennials and shrubs were utilized to complement the outdoor space and to create seasonal color.

The original front entryway was in need of major restoration to create a more inviting feel. A low voltage lighting system was installed to guide homeowners and guests down the long, winding driveway. Path lighting was installed to illuminate a newly constructed Quartzite flagstone walkway leading to the front door. Downward accent lights were installed to create splashes of illumination on the newly installed berms and plantings. Native and drought tolerant shrubs and perennials were installed along the meandering pathway leading to the front door.
At the front of the driveway, an address marker with lighting was installed to clearly mark the home. A berm, irrigation, and native shrubs were installed to create an inviting appearance to the entrance of the driveway. The before and after pictures highlight the dramatic transformation of this landscape.
